We think Brock is an Aspie. He has not been diagnosed and we do not plan to pursue formal diagnosis. However, he does have traits and behaviors in common with people diagnosed with Asperger's. Brock also has a 3-year old nephew, Brick, who is Autistic. Brick and Brock (as a toddler) behave very similarly.
Putting these pieces together recently has shed new light on our marital struggles -- we seem to have the same sorts of issues noted in other Aspie-NT couples. We're hoping that digging into our neurological differences will help us understand each other, find a common communication strategy, and create a stronger partnership. I got permission from Brock to start this blog to share our journey with others who might be in a similar position.
